We are an Apple Distinguished School!

We are incredibly proud to announce that Northumberland Heath Primary School has been recognised as an Apple Distinguished School for the 2025–2028 program term. Our school has been recognised for innovation, leadership, and educational excellence using technology.  

Schools apply and are selected for this distinction based on their commitment to continuous innovation in education and using Apple products to inspire, imagine, and impact teaching and learning. 

Apple Distinguished Schools are centres of leadership and educational excellence, with a clear vision for how technology-rich environments support learning goals. In Apple Distinguished Schools, forward-thinking leaders and their communities work to inspire, imagine, and impact  teaching and learning, and they have documented results of academic accomplishments. 
 
Schools all over the world are using iPad and Mac to transform learning. As teachers incorporate technology into their lessons, they empower students to lead, learn, and thrive, to discover new opportunities, and to make their world a better place. 
 

Our Headteacher Ms Indresano is thrilled with receiving this recognition, “We are incredibly proud to be recognised as an Apple Distinguished School. This achievement reflects our commitment to using technology creatively and purposefully, ensuring every child has the opportunity to learn, explore and achieve in ways that prepare them for the future. It is a testament to the dedication of our staff, the enthusiasm of our children, and the support of our community.”

Year 6 pupil Sai describes the difference technology has made: “Using the iPad has transformed the way I learn, making studying more engaging and enjoyable. Educational games and creative apps opened up new ways for me to express my creativity and understand concepts more deeply.  With the tools for filming and interactive activities, I have fun learning!”

This achievement not only celebrates the school’s innovative use of technology to inspire learning but also reflects the strength of our shared vision across the Trust.
