Awful Ape Attacks

Year 6, are doing some writing based on Anthony Browne's King Kong. We have some great authors!
A loud roar filled the air like a lightning strike, Ann was scared, terrified for what may come out of the trees. Kong erupted from out of the trees in a vexed rage, banging his fists on his chest. He stopped as he saw Ann, whimpering on the stone column. Kong’s breathing turned silent and gentle, he approached her and carefully with his big hands, freed Ann’s wrists. A loud whizzing passed the giant's ear, but he did not move, nor flinch, the bullet just a fly flying past his ear. He was only focused on his new treasure so he did not notice the men who slipped through the gate. He gave another powerful roar, turned around and carried Ann deep into the jungle...
