Admissions Consultation 2020-2021
Please note, this consultation is now closed.
The outcome of the consultation is as follows:
The Trust consulted on the recommendation by Mr Nick Gibb, Minister of State for School Standards to include the proposed additional criterion to our schools’ Admissions Policy relating to children adopted from care outside of England. The consultation ran from 10th December 2018 and closed on 18th January 2019 and received one response.
Following deliberation, the Board of Trustees determined not to include the proposed additional criterion at this time however, this would be reconsidered once this was included within the School Admissions Code along with further guidance being available to ensure the criterion was applied consistently across all schools.
We are consulting on a proposed change to the Woodland Academy Trust School Admissions criteria with effect from September 2020. The proposed change would affect all schools in the Woodland Academy Trust.
The Governing Body has considered the Admissions Policy 2020-2021 and proposes to make a change to the second highest admissions priority. With effect from September 2020 criteria 2 will be children who were previously in care outside of England.
This is the only proposed change to the admissions criteria.
